Day 58 And I Call A Victory!!

This was a great day because I had a pretty stressful day at work -- my manager reviewed a couple of things I had done and clearly wasn't pleased.  That has been a HUGE trigger for me in the past, because I hate not doing a really good job at anything.  As a matter of fact, that's what set off my first big crave at Day 8.  But today I just dealt straight on with the feelings.  I realized that I am new at this kind of task (I recently transferred to another group in the company I've been with for seven years) and am just learning.  Instead of running out to have a smoke I talked to my co-worker and she said that when she was new she had the same experiences, so it wasn't a question of me failing it was a question of me learning a new thing.  It was only after I talked to her and sat down at my computer and realized that I was fine that I realized that I was fine without even thinking about smoking!  VICTORY!

I'm planning my diet program and today and tomorrow will be about 1) eating anything I want; 2) getting rid of the things that I want!  I have gotten so out of kilter that I truly am looking forward to Sunday and getting simple and starting on this diet.  I'm actually looking forward to feeling a little hungry!  But the thing I am most excited about is that I can do this without smoking.  I think it might be a good idea for me to get involved with a site that deals with losing weight, because I'm pretty sure I could make you guys crazy if I'm talking about my diet all the time.

So many people are feeling so grateful for this site today -- and I am a total cheerleader for this site.  There is something magic about this.

Oh, and I'm watching a Modern Family marathon and laughing a LOT.  There is just nothing better than laughing.

Hope you all have a wonderful, smoke-free weekend -- Love you all!
