Well I changed my name today. You might ask why or some may know that my name is really Jeanette not Judy. Why did I use the name Judy, some may ask. It was to honor a friend who had hoped to quit smoking too. So you could say I used her name and memory to inspire my quit. You see I promised her that I would quit smoking when she did and we would support each other no matter what during our quit. Well she quit when she died in an auto accident and for a while I just was so overcome with grief, I kind of "played circle the wagons"--you know what I mean because we all have hidden our feelings at times. Anyhow today is special to me because it was 2 years ago that I met Judy and we were friends right away--you probably have met someone in your life that you felt like you had known all your life. It was a few weeks after she died that I came here to this site and since I had promised Judy I would quit with her I used her name.

Thanks to all of you I was able to keep my promise and haven't had a cigarette since 8/28/13. With that being said, I know that I will always be aware of the dangers of smoking that cigarette and yet I feel so confident that this is my lifetime quit that I decided to change my name.

Hope you like my name change--you can still call me Judy if you like. LOL

Keep on adding those smoke free days.

XOXO

Jeanette
