Moving forward - contemplating

I am on day 178 of my quit journey. It gets easier every day. Sunday will be six months. I just find it so hard to believe that I have made it this far. September 2 is my 65th birthday, and will be the first one in almost 50 years that I won't have a cigarette hanging out of my mouth.

I "troll" quit smoking websites, to get inspriation.  I come here and read some days and never post.  But I am checking in every day.    And you know, I find that hearing the success stories make me stronger. Hearing the failures, makes me sad because prior to February that was me, trying over and over and over to quit this madness.

About the Author
I am retired from accounting, a grandmother to 13, mother to 4. I quit smoking 3 years ago for 1 1/2 years but started again. I have now quit. I love to play on my laptop, work in my garden, visit friends, and have church activities. I am relatively healthy for an old woman and hope I have many years left to aggravate my children.
