Good Morning my Friends...-1

I hope everyone is doing well, I just returned from Berlin. It was very challenging over there to remain smoke free. It seemed as if all of Germany is still smoking including my chain smoking brother (three packs a day) On my flight over there I was really worried what it would do to my quit, being surrounded by the smell and stinch 24/7. But instead of being "jealous" it disgusted me to no extend. When I smelled my mothers apartment I immediately started scrubbing the place only for him to stink it up again. After about a week of staying there I checked into a hotel because I couldn't take it anymore.

My mother is still with us, back at home but needs 24 hour care now, I also found out that she started to smoke again three years ago after her stroke and now among many other things has COPD and is on oxygen now. The sad part of it all was that she doesn't know who I Am anymore, she thought the whole time that I was one of her grand children and the doctors said that it's part of Alzheimer's . Then I had a huge fight (almost a fist fight) with my brother about my mothers well being so needless to say I was truly put to the test in the last few weeks. And on my return flight the airline managed to loose my suitcase between Chicago and San Antonio..LOL

Now back at home reflecting and thinking about all that had happen and know deep down that not only did I not cave in but it re-assured all of my reasons to quit in the first place. I am proud to say that I am 101 days smoke free today..

Now I think I have a lot of catching up to do to see what all of you have been up to...

Love

Marion
