A Month & 3 days

I celebrated a month of being a former smoker on Tuesday. I got sick as all get out and had to go to the doctors. Since last Thursday, I have been dealing with laryngitis and a bad sinus infection. My job was a tempary assignment that had ended on Tuesday.I am on the mends of feeling better. Not the type that gets sick often, but glad I can be at home to rest.

This past month has been a very surprising one for me. I can say tho that I can go to the Lord on Easter and be purer than I was and know that He is extremely proud of His daughter. The funny thing is......my little Dezarae (6) didn't even know I quit. She said, "oh you don't smoke any more Mom?." It was the best day I had when I was able to say, YES!!!!

Questions like Do you smoke are now answered with a NO. How cool is that. When we started smoking in school it was the "IN" so it never bothered me. Now that we are older and in the "real" world, I was almost always embarrassed that I smoke. Now I have regained my freedom of this embarrassment and rejoyce in the Lord's name for the sacrifice that He gave to save me.

Going to enjoy the wonderful blessing of Easter.

Carol
