Hi all, it's been a while!

Joy, thanks for checkin in on me today. I was going to send a private message but then thought better of it.

We're all friends here, right? Right!

Things have been... rough and tough. Lots of change that has not been sitting well with me.

Fot the last couple of days I have been really out of sorts to say the least and the only thing I could think of was smoking. Don't worry... I didn't and haven't and don't intend to!

However, it was the first thing that popped into my head while I was reeling in all this very uncomfortable and unfamiliar territory. I started to miss my old friend. At least I would know what to expect with smoking. I actually told myself that smoking would feel better than the way I am feeling right this moment.

Dear god. Luckily I gave myself a good slap.

Moving on...

I am now going to share with all of you some EXciting news. On December 28th, 2013 it will be my one year without smoking. I have been saving all the money I would have spent on smoking (it's a lot) and I bought myself a plane ticket to SE Asia.

This to me seems scarier than quitting smoking itself as I am going on my own with no tours or anything. And I am going for 5 weeks. Im slightly freaking out. Just slightly.

Anyhow, there you have it.

Newbies, stay strong in your quits and be prepared. This recent craving wasn't even really a craving which is why it caught me so off guard. All I wanted from it was to feel a certain way that I was used to feeling. Man oh man.

They come in all forms.

Start saving your money and do something nice for yourself. Wether you save it for long term goal or just daily kindness to yourself.

We all deserve it. We have come a long way and worked damn hard!

I am proud and thankful to still be a non-smoker today.

Thanks for checking in Joy oh Joy.
