Not happy, mind you...but more calm. ; )
I worked like a madwoman getting kids enrolled for this school year today. I will be spending time in my classroom for sure this weekend, but hey...there will be no interruptions as I will lock the doors and draw the blinds. Ha. This school year is already going to be different with the 24 kids...and the mixed-level teaching with both 3s and 4s...but today I also added a child with fetal alcohol syndrome, a child who was kicked out of anothe preschool for hitting, and two children who were just moved within the foster care system within the last WEEK because CPS had to become involved.
I am sooooo thankful my husband will be home tomorrow...and very appreciative today of all those folks who do the single parenting thing. Seriously. I'm so tired from just three days of it...I am always in awe of those that go it alone whenever he is gone.
And the cravings today? Didn't really have time for them! And to be perfectly honest...I've had a couple beers already tonight...which might be a problem for some...but for me, it just means I'm grounded at home and CANNOT go to buy cigarettes. LOL I wouldn't drive after even one. My hubby got a DUI six or seven years ago. And so obviously, we take that stuff very seriously.
