Beauty Queens don't smoke? Yeah, well artists do!

My life is pure insanity these days, a perfect time to really quit smoking, right? For some reason I think it is- but maybe I'm just crazy! LOL.

I'm the only person I know who is READY to be 30... only 6 more weeks and I can't wait! I've decided it's going to be the best birthday/year ever. And I want to celebrate by getting rid of the WORST habit that I never intended to let get so out of hand!  Plus, I really want a sweet road bike for when I start commuting with no car- imagine how quickly I will save up that $400!

I just finished my MFA in photography, started a business, got married, sold everything I own to prepare for a cross country move in January, started a faculty job at a local university... Oh, and I also help get my hubby through his days as a professor/PhD candidate. Yikes. And that's just a synopsis.

I know that stress is my #1 reason for smoking as much as I do. It's the only time in my crazy schedule that I can take a break, walk away from the computer and give my brain/eyes a rest. Oh, and the hubby smokes too, so sometimes being on the porch for 5 minutes is the only time we get to see each other...
But will quitting add more stress to my already crazy life, or free me up to deal with my stress through excersize, etc??? This is what I have to weigh now that I want to set a quit date.

My motivations:

Beauty Queens don't smoke (ok, even formers:P)

Mom quit last year. She's my hero.

Get in Shape.

Feel better.

Save money. Get my sweet bike!

Influence Hubby to consider quitting.

Family planning!!! LOL. A girl can dream.

Moving to a new town where no one will ever know I smoked!

Work towards goal of getting yoga certification.

Maybe do a Mrs. Pageant? Hahaha... Ok, wanted to end on a funny note 🙂

So I have good reasons... now I just need to be able to say THIS IS IT!!!
