Day 77

I really am just blown away it's day 77... day 3 of no smoking seemed like an eternity and now look at me?!? I absolutely love not smelling like smoke, not having bad breath, breathing easier, skin clearer, the list goes on and on. One of my frustrations is that even now, if I try to have a drink, by my 2nd it takes everything within me not to smoke. I know defenses are down, judgement is clouded, just frustrating is all. Drinking has been such a social thing in my life - not always going out and getting "plowed", just cocktails with friends downtown.

After reading David's blog about winter, it's so true here also. Early this morning when I got off work it was 34 in my car with a cold east wind; definitely time to break-out the winter attire. Here in Portland, we only get a light sweep of snow and ice in the winter, we're very close to sea level and it just doesn't happen. Of course, that theory has always has confused me because NYC is also at sea level, and it does; we're basically straight across the states from them. Regardless, it's much milder here than most people's winters I read about. It is nice not having to shlep out to the smoke shack in the cold weather. haha

I know I post obnoxious things, but I've always been a jokester with dry/sarcastic humor. My family has dealt with most things always through laughter. Also working in emergency rooms and now 911, doesn't help the morbidity. Deep down, I do love people...well, some people and care for all those out there not sure.

Thank you to everyone on here for your support, friendship, laughs, commrodory... it is a blessing!
