170 Days As A Red Headed Butt Kicker

OMG!! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I was first logging on and starting this butt kickin' journey. I read everything.....blogs, comments, reading suggestions. All of it  helped me get to this point. So does this make me one of the "old timers"? I think not!! Maybe after a year or 2 I'll feel like I have the wisdom and confidence it takes to become an HWC or a jonescarp but in the meantime, I'll remain a humble red headed butt kicker. I owe my success to all you here. If it hadn't been for you I never would have found Whyquit.com or read Allen's book, "The Easy Way To Quit Smoking". Most of all I  never would have met my best and most favorite quit buddy in the whole USofA.......Happy James. I look forward to the day I can go to Arkansas and sit on that infamous front porch of his and solve all the world's problems.....well, maybe not sove them but it will give us plenty to talk about!!! I'm glad I kept pestering him to post a pic of that porch....now I don't have to use my imagination to picture it. I guess what I'm saying is find someone who really inspires you to quit and cultivate a friendship with them. Don't be afraid to allow them to help you through this journey. And if a comment you get doesn't sound right or seems mean spirited, ask them to read it for you and offer an opinion on whether you're taking it too personal or if you need to respond to it at all.. Friends and family at home are great supporters but there's something to be said about a quit buddy. Someone who's been through it and can understand where you're coming from on a really bad day. Someone to remind you that this was the best decision you ever made for yourself. Someone to cheer you up and remind you that a positive attitude creates a postive experience. Day 170 of my quit and I couldn't be happier that I dropped my pack and half a day smoking habit. I haven't looked back in regret and never will. I am a quitter!!!!
