Let's Get Moving Part 3

Jump to solution

'The original idea was to "get moving" at least 4 times a week, staying accountable to each other.  Post your accomplishments in the comments. This is the original blog link if you would like to clarify the guidelines

Let's Get Moving Challenge - EX Community.   Any activity counts, as long as you get off your butt and get your heart pumping.  Who knows, maybe we'll lose a little weight or a couple of inches in the meantime.  I hope placing it in discussions this time will work better than a blog post where there were so many entries and becomes harder to locate.  Let's see if we can keep it on the board often and easy to find.

I believe we got sidetracked when I suggested doing other challenges and those challenges were not conducive to everyone. My fault. Lesson learned.  So I am hoping we can get back to doing what "you" do instead of a specific routine.  Got it?.   In the previous post, there were a lot of comments to go through to come up with this list of who participated.  Hopefully, it will catch on again.  Of course, sometimes we got off topic which can happen.  This post really kept me motivated and we had a lot of fun while learning a lot from each other with over 2519 comments on the first blog and 1072 Let's Get Moving 2018 - EX Community  on second blog comments. So let's Get Moving Part 3!

Where IS everybody (besides Sootie)?!?!?

??????????????

Stopping by to say hello.  I wasn't able to do much activity yesterday, but I hope that changes today.

I weeded the brick circle where I have my summer table and chairs - and it was quite the chore.  It has been raining, damp, drizzly for four days now, so each weed came up with its own mud weight!  Still have the surrounds to work on - the sun seems to be TRYING, so may get out later.

Early evening I also did a 20 minute walk.  Again - didn't WANT to - but did it anyway!!!

Morning and I MOVED.  Good to see you Sootie, you were missed.  I hope everyone is ok and that they check in.  There is a guinea in our yard, that's a first.  The other guinea is on the other side of the fence and they can't seem to find each other.  Silly bird brains, only separated by a fence.  We now have a robin family in our yard.  Saw her/him feeding the baby on the ground this morning.  That's a first.  The blue jays were trying to bully, but that mama became ferocious and chased them away.  Nice to see and glad for the trees we have, cos that means bird families.  The hummingbirds are here, as well.  Nancy, sounds like you are moving and staying active and busy.

I tried to work out yesterday and my knee acted up, so I stopped.....a little depressing.   SO, today, I babystepped for an hour.  If babysteps is all I can do, then so be it.  My body needed to break a sweat.  Not sure about the rest of the day.  Ground is still  wet, but sun is out.

Hey movers, I walked just over 3 miles and got home to my twice monthly veggie delivery. It's a beautiful evening and I just spent 2 hours prepping veg because if I don't do it right away I might as well just throw it all away because if it isn't ready to eat it will rot, if that makes sense. Lots of yummy stuff including asparagus and green onions. I have a handy guide from the farm that tells me how to store everything. Tomorrow I am going through my clothes and donating probably about half of them. I have far FAR too many, a reminder of my impulse buying past. There's a clothing closet in Oregon City that I'll take it all to.

I hope everybody had a good day, smoke free 🆓

Yesterday I didn't do squat!   The drizzly, showery, dark and dreary got to me.

😏

Good morning, everyone.

I've been moving this week Monday cut edged and trimmed the grass and pulled a few weeds.

Yesterday was a misty type morning I spent it going thru old boxes and throwing a lot of stuff out.

Last night we had some severe thunderstorms with lightning lighting up the whole sky, heavy rains (my rain gauge showed a hair over 3 inches) and a tornado warning issued for us at one point.  I was disappointed with Joyce and I let her know about it.  She didn't stand by my side when the sirens went off and the warnings were issued No, she took GoGo and went to the basement leaving me standing on the front porch.  I thought she was supposed to stand by me when things get bad

Today pick up a few branches and take a nice walk thru the neighborhood

Enjoy your day everyone

@Cousin-Itt   We only stand by you in "sickness and in health".  No mention of tornadoes and you don't want the dog in the basement all by his little self do ya??
