Let's Get Moving Part 3

Let's Get Moving Challenge - EX Community.   Any activity counts, as long as you get off your butt and get your heart pumping.  Who knows, maybe we'll lose a little weight or a couple of inches in the meantime.  I hope placing it in discussions this time will work better than a blog post where there were so many entries and becomes harder to locate.  Let's see if we can keep it on the board often and easy to find. 

I believe we got sidetracked when I suggested doing other challenges and those challenges were not conducive to everyone. My fault. Lesson learned.  So I am hoping we can get back to doing what "you" do instead of a specific routine.  Got it?.   In the previous post, there were a lot of comments to go through to come up with this list of who participated.  Hopefully, it will catch on again.  Of course, sometimes we got off topic which can happen.  This post really kept me motivated and we had a lot of fun while learning a lot from each other with over 2519 comments on the first blog and 1072 Let's Get Moving 2018 - EX Community  on second blog comments. So let's Get Moving Part 3!

This is about 1/2 of the pool , to the right it’s deep . They have bungie jumping and several kiddie pools.  The water slides shown  here are only a few . Very popular place . Hard to fit everything in on my camera but caught this .

Hello moving friends, I only got a mile and a half today, but that's because I had cognitive rehab across town and spent about 4.5 hours on the train. Relaxing, but not a lot of movement. The rehab guy was great, but when we were talking about my daily routine he laughed and said I had already done his job for him. I think probably because of my chaotic childhood, I am an extremely organized person. So when this brain thing set in the first thing I did was get several "systems" set up so I didn't have to rely on my memory so much. Timers, alarms, and prominent visual aids are good friends of mine lol. He did give me several handouts on practical stuff and is going to refer me to speech therapy which sounded odd to me but he said they would be more helpful with strategies to exercise my brain 🧠 

I've had a bad stomach day, no idea why but dinner is going to be either rice and broth or toast and tea. The evening is gorgeous and tomorrow is going to be even better. The plan is to set off for the library on foot, but along the bus line so I can stop at any point and catch the bus or sit if it has a bench. It's 4 miles each way so I don't want to try to do the whole thing, but it's such a pretty walk that I at least want to try part of it.

Good morning all . Wow , life is just getting busier and for this old lady she needs to slow down but not missing the opportunity to go today to see grand baby . I’m really pushing it .. almost wanting to suggest next week might be better , but with youngins and work never know . I’ll be fine . I did learn a lesson from yesterday , I’ll apply in the future after today . say no to things I can not do . There are other days and pushing too hard may not give me other days . Have a great day .

Good self care and always open mindedness to keep learning new for me too I agree my dear nope all day long with you and everyone because I NEED lots of help to stay positive too thank again for giving ME hope to just keep moving forward one breathe one step at a time

It's chilly and windy here today.  I am starting to think this year our Spring is going to be cold and wet, and then SUMMER and heat will arrive.  I think I will let my hips decide if it's going to be a walking or yard work day.  I will force myself to get outside, though!

 

@YoungAtHeart Nancy Hopefully our weather heads your way as we finally have a bright sunny morning here with temperatures climbing. Upper 60s today and near 80 by Monday
