I sympathize with your efforts to quit smoking. Although I don't smoke, I'm a new mom myself, and I understand the stress.
I'm writing about this issue -- efforts to help women stop smoking during and after pregnancy -- and I was wondering if you'd like to share your story with my paper, USA TODAY? Or, do you know any other moms who might be willing to talk to me about their struggle with smoking? We do need to use first and last names for everyone we interview, so I hope that is OK. I've learnedthat a fair number of women, like you, are able to quit during pregnancy, but that 70% then go back to smoking after delivery. All the experts say that most smokers need several attempts before they can quit for good, so it's not surprising that a lot of new moms go back, or quit only after their kids are much older (and they've tried five times).
Thanks for your help. You've done a great thing by starting this forum!

I want to extend my hand of support to you and everyone in your group. I am helping build a inner support structure with groups that can help other group members. Most in my team have years of support experience in a smoke free environment.
We have been there... done that ...and if you can not relate to one of us there are about 9 others that also offer Super Support.
I hope you will consider our help and do not be afraid to ask any questions. We are here to help others like yourself.

I know I'm not a "new Mom," and this is a little weird for me. I am a new Dad though, but I didn't see anything in the way of a Dad's forum / group. I thought I would ask before I joined any group to make sure everything was "kosher" first. Would you mind?
Thanks,
Matthew
Warmest Wishes,
