About Me:: I'm 56 years old and smoked for 41 years. I have hated smoking for the last few years but was not going to experience the withdrawal so I didn't want to make the attempt to quit. It came to me one day, on March 12, 2008...'today is the day'. My wonderful insurance company had paid for and had already sent me the 8 week 'Nicotine Patch' program so I was prepared. UPDATE: I have finished the 8 week patch plan and am still smoke free! Keep posting, reading and writing, it really works! I wish all of us the best of luck! Seven months on the 21st. Life is good. Now a days

I live only 7 miles from the beautiful beach here in Florida but don't get there nearly as much as I should. I do however have plans to visit it tomorrow!
