I was so glad to see that there's a Lone Star bunch of wannabe quitters to discuss with! Glad that you started the group.
This is day one for me, and I already feel badly because I lit a cigarette! Tell me NOT to feel badly about it and to continue.
I hadn't smoked in 29 years until I got a divorce and went though a LOT of stress.
I had German relatives that settled in he Austin/San Antonio area and grew up in Texas, (my Dad was born in San Antonio and we lived in Houston), until I moved with my EX and I'm stuck in Columbia, SC and I can't stand it here. I feel 'stuck' and stessed, hence smoking for 14 months now again! As he is in Contempt of Court for not selling our house and I'm back in the house with him (ugh) and two of my kids in college that live here also. The Ex is a control freak.
All of my old friends are in Houston and my cousin wants me to come live with he and his wife starting this summer. I raised 3 great kids with an EX who I met when he played with the Houston Oilers. He smokes and my son smoke also. That doesn't help me to quit.
I'm angry with myself for, after being so stressed out, starting again.
I need the support of this group and program to help me stop smoking again.
Any jobs in Austin that you know about? I use to visit there often with family. Houston and Hill Country are what I know and miss.
I've GOT to get my life back on track.
I haven't added my picture, as a) don't know how yet and b) I just signed on the program last night.
Any tips and support would be GREATLY appreciated.
