My name is Sharon. I am a former smoker (25+ years) who successfully quit smoking for good on 5-15-05. Smoke-free for 3 yrs and loving it! I give full credit to God for my success, for without him, I could have never broken the chains of nicotine addiction on my own. I am a member of the Smokeaway Support group and am here to provide my support to help others succeed in the life-altering process of quitting smoking.

Doing the 3-Year Happy Dance here! Smoke-free for 3 yrs! Life is good on this side of the quit! To all those who are in the early days, weeks and months of a quit, I'd like to tell you to keep perservering, keep hanging on, because you will reach a point when the struggle to remain smoke-free will end. Given enough time and distance between you and your quit date, not smoking will become the norm. Congrats to all who are celebrating today, including my wonderful husband, Joe who shares the same quit date. I love you and am so proud of you! Thanks for sharing the ride!
