Back in the saddle

I slipped on Friday and bought a pack. Smoked on Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to the help of the group I did not smoke on Monday. I'm back on my quit. I'm learning I can not let up a minute. I cannot not stand the thought of what my family would say if they found out I had smoked. They have been so supportive and my kids love me so much. I am lucky to have a family who cares, so many people in the world do not. I will not let nicotine addiction destroy this for my family. I am learning to turn of…

Slipped

Was don't great. Went to my brother's last night. We sat around the pool having drinks. The first thing I know I was smoking. I am resetting my date to tomorrow Wednesday 18th. I've learned that I can not do around smokers doing the first few days. I want this do much. I will try again tomorrow with even more determination. I knew better but I can't bet myself up too much or I'll give up for good.

Getting Ready

I had planned on this being my quit day but it's Monday so I start tomorrow. Monday's are always crazy for me. I ordered a self hypnosis cd. I have had good luck with hypnosis before. I'm also stocked up on nicorette gun. I also bought one of those plastic cigarettes that used a mint carthradge. I have my bag filled. My son gave me his old Nintendo DS so I can play that to keep my brain and hands busy. I feel I am ready to conquer that hedious addiction. At the rate I'm going I probably will end…

Hi Debbie
I can relate to being stressed out going back to work, especially teaching 2nd grade. I used to teach pre-school and let me tell you while they were napping I would have someone cover my classroom so I could run out to my car and smoke. I have been smoking for like 26 years and I'm only 37. I am so tired of trying to quit and failing over and over again. I wish you good luck and hope you can keep me informed of your progress. My quit date is the 15th. Keep in touch and good luck!!
