COMMITMENT AND A WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND CHANGE MAKE FOR A LASTING QUIT.
I write, I edit..... Love reading, kids, walking, playing with my very active puppy, spending time with my mom, making things for my friends.
After being a loyal smoker for 34 years, I began my forever quit on November 1, 2012.
I honestly thought that I loved to smoke.
I honestly thought that I understood smoking.
I was wrong!!!!!
Keeping my mind open to the advice of those on this site who have serious quit time, reading everything and anything to educate myself, and making the promise to myself to never, ever smoke again NO MATTER WHAT... is how I quit.
It wasn't easy at first, but it was amazingly simple. I just didn't smoke. And while I was not smoking, I searched for how to make not smoking a good experience, a normal experience, a content way of life.
I'm still learning this no smoking way of life, and I am staying ready and on guard because I know how sneaky and tricky this addiction can be. I also know that I will never be fooled or controled by it again.
The freedom that comes with quitting smoking is the BEST feeling.
DON'T BE A SLAVE TO ADDICTION ANY LONGER!!
DON'T EVER FORGET TO DREAM
