If you've never heard of it, it's a competition reality TV show on Spike TV, where tattoo artists compete for a prize.
Last night's episode featured people who had quit smoking--but not soon enough. They were looking to cover up scars due to their addictions. One guy had a tracheotomy from his stage 4 throat cancer. Another had lost a leg. Another had a lung removed.
The one whose leg had been amputated had had so many surgeries, that his nerves were all messed up, and getting his scar tattooed was really hard. Some areas, he couldn't feel, and others, he could feel more than a normal person would.
Anyway. Even though it was uplifting that they had quit smoking and that the artists were helping them cover their scars, it was really sad, too. If you are wavering in your decision to quit, feeling cravey, or just want some inspiration, you should check it out when it runs again throughout this week or maybe On Demand.
