Long day and a smoke-free day yesterday. Yesterday was a messed up day but left the Ivy Brain Tumor Center feeling very encouraged! My son's Health Coordinator set up the appointment so don't know who messed up but a hour appointment turned into a 4 hour appointment due scheduling error and Dr behind schedule. And no wifi available in the area in so not able to get online and pass the time away. They did pay for our 20.00 parking fee due to the mess up thank goodness. And I missed an appointment with a buyer (I'm selling things on Craiglist) luckily he was a very kind and understanding gentleman and I was able to rearrange a time.

All in the appointment with the Dr. was very encouraging. New research study that has come out in last few months is showing that the chemo treatment Matthew was on is very effective on slowing the growth of tumors. No cure has been found yet but continue to be hopeful for that. Matthew will get a PET scan done and the results of that will determine whether to restarts his current chemo treatment or try the other chemo options available. They need to see if the MRI results is from the tumor growing or if it is just tissue necrosis from the radiation treatment. The doctor wants to have him go back on a low dose of the steroids to see if that will help with some of his symptoms he is having, the dr, said if he saw no improvement in a couple of days to just stop it. So we will see if that helps any. Matthew passed all the memory test. Had some function problems with his left side of body but not to bad considering. The doctor was great, had a good sense of humor. To bad we have to go into Seattle to see him. The traffic the cost. Yuk. We will do a follow up in a month with him and hopefully after that we won't have to go back.

Long day didn't get home to late missed my Survivor show so will have to check the listing when it is showing again. There are only 2 things I watch on tv and that is Survivor and the Seahawks sometimes I even wonder why a pay all that money to have tv anymore.

The roof contractor came out Monday and my leaks are still a mystery. For now I will have them cover it up with plastic until I can afford to have them tear it apart to see what is going on also will have a warped board replace at the same time.

My life remains smoke free as it should be. Missing my husband, miss him a whole bunches when I watch the Seahawk games. So people quit smoking now before it is to late, I hate missing my husband and I know someone would miss you too. Just do it QUIT!
