Back from paradise!  We had a wonderful vacation, the weather was amazing.  I was able to take long walks on the beach without feeling short of breath, my body did not enjoy walking so much but it will get over it.  The waves were such fun, I used a boogie board for the first time and I was delighted to see other seniors out there using them as well.  I am completely exhausted and had to cancel my pulmonary rehab yesterday because there was no way I could possibly do it, I will go tomorrow.  I think the heat and humidity were rough all along the east coast, it didn’t seem that bad in Florida, I suspect it was because the ocean was there with its magical healing powers.  There was a shark scare the day before we left but we never saw anything, they closed the beach for a few hours.  No people were attacked.

I missed all of you but my internet connection was sporadic at best.   I have over 200 unread blog posts in my blog folder…I am not likely to ever get caught up on them.  I need to get back to reality, painful as it is.  My youngest daughter is now planning a trip to the Bahamas in January and she wants me to fly to NYC and join her and then fly there.  I MIGHT be rested enough by then but I am not sure.  I am tanned and very grateful for the time with my oldest daughter and my granddaughter, it was wonderful.  My granddaughter leaves for college in a week and my daughter’s nest is going to be painfully empty.  My daughter will be celebrating a year of smobriety on the 29th.  A friend who went with us is at four months, we were all dismayed over the fact that our downstairs neighbor smoked right underneath our balcony and it was not just cigarettes, it was a smelly cigar.  Eeeewwwww!  We called the property managers but they said that there was nothing they could do, all of the condos are under different management and different rules.

I am home, I will try very hard to get back into the swing of things.

Love to all,

Ellen
