Yesterday, day 3, was horrid.  Not just individual cravings, just crave all day long. I was afraid to leave the house for fear of buying a pack. Stopped the coffee at noon. That was not a good idea, I woke up in the early hours with a terrible headache.  Took Tylenol and went back to sleep but woke again a couple hours later with another headache. 3 cups of coffee later it was gone. New tactic today. After my morning cups, coffee is for a treat, not a with-meal beverage. I had a large cup of coffee as a treat, held in both hands and sipped and savored. Made it a micro vacation, eyes closed, smelling the air, and the fresh coffee, listening to the birds, and concentrating on the here and now. Kinda like a meditation. I forget who recommended that but it has worked for me today. If I change my coffee habit, I will eliminate my main trigger. -Much better day today.  Of course I still spend lots of time chewing on straws, gives my mouth and hands something to keep busy at, and calorie free.
