The baby girl in this passage was found lying out in an open field, covered with blood, bruised and raw, strangling on her birth cord. When God found you (and me) we were in a real mess too. I don't know the circumstances of your life or what drove you to the alter to accept Jesus as your savior, but it was probably something deplorable (I know it was for me). I know you were dying. You had been polluted by life, strangled by sin, bruised and beaten because of the treatment you had received from other people (and sometimes even ourselves) your past had left you naked and exposed. You had been cast away. There was no time for God to tell you all that He wanted to say to you. He had only one word to speak to all of your abuse, all of your trauma, all of your trials, all of your tears, all of your pain, all of your addictions. God had only one word to speak in answer to your depression, your thoughts of suicide, your feelings of unworthiness. In your state of emergency, there was only one word God could speak to you that would matter. He said to you, "LIVE!" reference: Woman Thou Art Loosed TD Jakes Study Bible My my my how many of us could relate to this?! I know I can and as I was reading I thought about us how we are getting through our PAST addiction by simply LIVING. whether it be one day at a time one hour, minute or second at a time. We are doing it! We are living! I hope someone here is blessed by this as much as I was!
