Been a little out of my normal routine the last few weeks.  My sister decided to leave her husband of 35 years and asked if she could stay with me for awhile (max 3 months).  I said yes.  We are co-habitating fairly well but she does not have many of her personal possession here.  I live in a 2-bedroom apartment.  She asked Saturday evening if she could stay long-term.  It broke my heart to tell her that I did not think that would be a good idea.  Not enough space for one thing.  Another thing, I am old, stuck in my ways, and have lived alone for a very long time.  I love her, but we are very different people.

The thought of smoking just one has floated thru my mind several times.  But that is just it - it floated right on thru....  Today when I walked out of my apartment to go to the store - right outside my door there was a perfect cigarette just lying there.  My addict brain immediately said - this is a sign!  WTH -where did that come from?  I picked it up - smelled it - and then smashed it!

Each temptation that you overcome just makes your quit that much stronger!

I am a 63 year old single woman. I quit smoking at 55 and my only regret is that I did not quit sooner. Freedom from cigarettes is truly a wonderful feeling!
