Ten-Day Mark!

Ten days since I've tasted the bitter potion of the Death Phantom.  I'm just about done with my 21 mg patches; and even though it's recommended in the instructions to take them for 6 weeks, I feel ready to move down to 14  mg, then after two weeks of that to the final phase of 7 mg patches.  They sting sometimes and irritate my skin, but I have next to no cravings.  I feel I'm on a good path.

I do lots of YouTube binging, and watched videos featuring the now deceased ex smokers, Terrie Hall and Debi Austin.  Too much of that can be depressing, and I probably overdid it--but it's good to remember that this addiction entails real, life-altering, and deadly consequences.

I quit because I love my parents, family, friends, and my dog.  I want to be around for a long time to come.  I quit because I love myself.  To some that will sound egotistical, but really, we have to love ourselves.  I've spent way too many years hating myself, and that needs to end.  Here's to life, and to never again having a puff.  NOPE... 1 day at a time.
