I won the challenge

Wow what a challenge today has been. First I had a crappy night sleep and had 2 appointments today, one at 8am and the other at 10am.  The last time I looked at the time was at 6am and had this thought that I should get up but then drifted off to sleep.  Next thing I know my 1 dog was scratching at my bed, and the other was nipping at my foot as I had it hanging off the bed.  I finally wake up and look at the clock to see that it was 10 o'clock.  Panick and anxiety immediately kicks in as also nicodemon screaming in my head I need a smoke.  Rush down hall and stop and suddenly realize wait I don't do that anymore.  Then sweating because the 1st appointment will count me as a no show and charge me $50 and likely the 2nd appointment would charge me too as they probably would make me reschedule.  So I call the 2nd dr.office first and they told me no problem as my appointment was at 11. Shew Whew and shew thankfully I wrote down the wrong time.  Called the office of the 1st dr and explained I over slept and asked about rescheduling. Reschedule the date and time and needless to say it is not at 8am in the morning. hahaha.  I took a deep breath and ask if I would be charged for a no show and woot they said no since I have never missed an appt before.  Thanking my lucky stars, fed the dogs and took marathon shower and then headed for appt.  I realized while driving to appt wow I didn't even think of a cigarette after the shower. On the way home some guy ran a red light and the car in front of me slammed on his break unfortunately he didn't get stopped in time. Thankfully I was able to stop in time but it was very close. Whew here goes the nerves again. I immediately reached for my purse to reach for a cigarette to see only mints in there.  Then shouted out loud oh shoot!!!!!  Won't lie first thought was go across street to gas station to get some (never mind those in the accident lol)  Stopped took some deep breaths and told myself NOPE, I don't do that anymore.  Then visualized holding two hands in the group and didn't have a free hand to smoke with.  Then got myself together and went and checked on the ones who were in the crash.  Fortunately, everyone was alright, few scratches.  I am so thankful that I stopped and thought about it and saved my 12 days of quit.

To the newbie from a newbie have to stop and think before you react.  Tell yourself NOPE, I don't do that anymore, whatever it takes.   WE ALL CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!

I came here to learn how to quit and stay quit. I need to quit to impove my health and was tired of nicotine controlling me and Doctors and family nagging me. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Now that I have joined in the EX family I now have been free of nicotine since May 13th 2016.
