Share your quitting journey
Good morning fellow EXer's! The Freedom Train is on the tracks, and prepared to make its daily run to Freedom from smoking! Everyone is invited to come aboard to celebrate their own personal Freedom and that of their friends!!
If you are new here, this vehicle provides an area for everyone to gather and celebrate the milestones and successes of those in our community! There are no tickets! The fuel for this locomotive is love and caring! The rides on this Train are paid for in contributions to the quits of others! The only thing required to ride this Train is a desire to breathe Free!
We welcome everyone to join in the celebration! No matter where you are in your quit, today is special and is cause for celebration! Celebrate with others and they will celebrate with you! There are no baggage fees! Bring all your "EXtra baggage"! We will help you sort it out!
From time to time we do have questions about counting days. While we encourage everyone to celebrate everyday of their Freedom, here at the Freedom Train we count the days you have completed! Tommy has shared this explanation:
“ For EXample I quit on 01/01/2010. On 12/31/2010 I had reached 365 days. However, I had not completed a year until 01/01/2011! Please feel free to address any questions or suggestions to me at any time.
https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/pir8fan” Thanks Tommy!
We encourage you to come aboard today! Shout out your personal milestones, and those of your friends! Show your pride in your quit! 2 Days, 200 Days or 2000 Days! More, if you have them!
Let us hear from you, and let us all celebrate our FREEDOM!! Post pictures, share music and we love when people bring and share food!
IT IS PARTY TIME!!!
This Train is bound for FREEDOM from the Evils tobacco and smoking!!
"IF YOU ARE NOT RIDING WITH US, YOU ARE MISSING THE TRAIN"
ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ABOARD!!!!!!!!! Conductor Sharon♥
Let's get started with the Winners!
christine__s has 50 days today. Great job....you're doing it right if you are at 50.......next stop TDC. How about a celebration balloon for you?
So, word has it that Wisconsin is sitting at the depot, waiting for the train.......here you are Terry!
Big Congrats of 600 Days of Freedom! Doesn't it feel good to be able to rack up those days AND feel good about yourself for doing it?
Think you should have a Celebration Dessert......do you like brownies?
Or maybe we should have a good old Wisconsin pizza?
5 different kinds of cheese!
Celebrate You today........it is fun and you deserve it!!!!
Today is National Beverage Day.........this does not mean alcohol (had to say that or Nancy would come and pull my hair!)
Beverage Day is a chance to kick back with your favorite beverage and enjoy the day. The term "beverage" is broadly defined. So, were talking about celebrating all beverages today.
Beverage Day should be a day of pleasure and relaxation. Grab a bottle, can, a glass, or a six-pack of your favorite beverage. Sit down in a comfortable chair..... indoors or out. Slowly sip and savor your drink. Life is good!
BE BOLD! Take advantage of Beverage Day to try a beverage that you have never had before.
Other things come in 6 packs!
Here's one that I'm very fond of.........apparently so is my body!
International No Diet Day encourages us to appreciate the bodies we have. You could consider it a "Big" backlash against becoming little (err thin) people. This day is intended for us to appreciate the body we have. It encourages us to recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes....... and that's okay.
Anti-diet groups exist to assist and support people who suffer illnesses like anorexia, in their efforts to shed fat and be thin. In addition to anorexia, other medical problems can result from taking diet pills, and surgeries, such as stomach stapling, to control weight.
International No Diet Day is a good opportunity to re-assess and evaluate your weight management goals and perspective, and to make certain your efforts to be thin don't come at a risk to your health. If you decide that continuing your diet is right for you, then use today to take a one day break.
Remember the old saying: "You're body is your temple." In your efforts to make your temple a thin one, do so in a safe and healthy manner.
And the flower of the day is:
Mammoth Sunflower
Recipe of the day is Grilled Eggplant
Ingredients:
Preparation Directions:
1. Pour vegetable oil into a bowl.
2. Mix in all ingredients, except eggplant and mozzarella cheese.
3. Dip slices into mixture and place on grill.
4. Close grill cover and grill on medium heat for 8-10 minutes, or until tender.
5. Turn over eggplant slices and brush on oil mixture.
