It can be done and you can be happy

So here I am, having quit cigarettes 54 days ago, and having quit the e-cig 3 days ago.  One of the things that upset me for a long time is a hurt lower back, that flares up from time to time, and forces me to lay down for days at the time.  And it started yesterday; prevented me to go for the normal walk, worked from home while on some anti inflamatories, and made it  through the day, hoping it will get better today.

But it did not, so this morning I had to call in sick, so I can take more serious drugs (and can't drive when I take them).

Spent most of the day in bed, reading blogs, and Allan Carr, doing meditation/relaxation techniques.

I can't say cigarettes did not come up to my conscience, I would have smoked a lot during these heavy pain times, but not today!  Why?  Are they taking away my pain?  No! Maybe just take my mind away from the pain, but so many other things can, so I chose to do these other things!

The pain is getting better, and tomorrow I'll take it for a walk.  This was another test given to me by the Universe, and I am so very happy I chose to make myself happy, no one else can!!!

Thank you for being here for me, and hopefully my experience can benefit others too!

Happy (even if in pain) former smoker 🙂
