I am so dang happy to be here today celebrating 2 years smoke-free!  When I first started this journey, I really didn't believe in myself.  I really didn't believe that I could do this.  But I found this wonderful group of people here at EX that really understood all about quitting and many were here daily donating their time and sharing their knowledge - all free of charge!  I am thankful for all of you!

To those of you just beginning - make a plan and stick to it!  Do your homework and really educate yourself about this addiction.  Knowledge is power!  Be willing to ride it out - the roller coaster ride that leads to freedom will end and what is waiting for you on the other side is truly wonderful.

To everyone else - protect your quit at all times!  We all have seen too many folks with long-term quits relapse.  And that really saddens me.  No matter where you are in your quit - everyone from day 1 to day 10,0000+ do not fall for the lie that "just one" will not hurt!

I am a 63 year old single woman. I quit smoking at 55 and my only regret is that I did not quit sooner. Freedom from cigarettes is truly a wonderful feeling!
