I love Easter Sunday. So many people were dressed to the nines. It was joyous to see them walking around with a little extra hop in their step. There were so many happy little boys in their suits and bow ties and girls in their dresses, with their hair all done. Other than the sprouting of crocuses and chirping birds, it is my sign of renewal and Spring. Truthfully, I’m sad to see winter go, especially when we’ve not gotten enough sledding in, but I’m encouraged by family reuniting together. Reconnecting!

In many ways, this community is like a family that periodically reconnects on “holidays”. There’s the annual trip that brings EXers togetherIt takes lot of coordinating just like a big family holiday get together. Though technology has provided the means for members to connect virtually on a daily basis, these in-person meetups offer a unique and special kind of connection.

As a Community Manager, I try to commit to an in-person meet up with other Community Managers at least every other month.  One to two times a month I also try to get together virtually through a Google Hangout. Finally, once a year I try to get to an event that has Community Managers from around the United States. These always prove to be amazing experiences to encourage innovation.  As we embark on EX 3.0 and the community grows, one thing we’ve been curious about is the potential interest among members for regional member meet-ups with virtual groups represented on the community (for example, Cranky Corner, Louisiana or a Sweet Lips, TN group… those are real places!).

For those who can't make it to the EX meet up in Vegas, would you participate in a local meet-up with other EXers if it was more accessible to you? If so, what city would you like to meet in?
