Always Thankful

Well Break has had an interesting week. As anyone who lives in Minnesota can tell you, it has been bitter cold this week. My new job is home delivery of products from a truck, so I am out in the cold all day every day (although I do get to step into a warm truck, and I am usually invited into people's homes to warm up, Minnesotan's are pretty good about that). Anyway, as I said it has been bitter cold with temps in the single digits, below zero wind chills, and to top that off I have bee sick all week with something viral in my chest. Been coughing all week, haven't gotten much sleep. But as the week has gone by I am feeling stronger now so I think I am almost out of the woods. Even out in weather like this, with every step I was thankful for two things. One, I have a job, and two, I don't smoke anymore! I have to deliver products to maybe 50 homes per day, and I have to get it done in 12 hrs. Not time to waste sucking on sticks. Plus, can't smoke in the trucks so would have to be outside, and people are less likely to invite you in out of the cold if you smell like smoke. Have a great smoke-free week everyone!

I quit smoking on March 26th, 2009. I smoked a pack a day for 25 years. I quit because I began having health issues in my early 40's. I had a TIA and a stroke a few years ago. I work as a home delivery salesperson.
