Lovely Saturday Night

Boy, do I love weekends!  I'm down to 1263 days to retirement, so I have to enjoy these little two-day respites from making sure I'm doing everything I can to assure that my ADD brain doesn't let me make mistakes.  I really try hard not to stress about it because I know that just makes the likelihood of mistakes higher.  I do, however, find at the end of the week that I'm exhaling and going "ahhhh."

No thoughts of smoking, and I do have to say that coming on here and reading about the relapses and the near misses is what I need to NEVER become cocky about this quit.  And I know I go on and on about this, but this community is totally awesome!!  I swear, it's like big comfy arms spreading wide to give us hugs when we need them and also make us feel like we're the ones who are part of those big comfy arms when others need those hugs.  I couldn't have imagined before I came here that this kind of online community could make such a tremendous impact.  I am certain that it is largely because of our wonderful elders, who are a continuing voice of reason and reassurance to those of us who come here trembling at the thought of giving up our "friend."  That voice of reason and reassurance continues throughout our journey as we meet the milestones that mean so much to us.  It's so lovely to know there are others who celebrate those milestones with us in a way that our families and friends can't really understand.

So I am at peace with my wonderful quit, grateful to be part of this family, and really, really glad I won at bingo tonight!!

Love to all of you and I wish you the very sweetest of dreams.

Donna
