Had to set a new quit date (8-13-15)

Just can't seem to get away from three or four sickerettes a day. I would be confident, happy and FREE! FREE! FREE! if I would just quit driving to Walgreens a few times a week and stoking the fire.

Love to swim! Today I swam 130 laps (lengths) in a 25 meter pool at the YMCA. Feels so good to be immersed in the cool water, swimming free style (front crawl), with the warm morning sun smiling on my back. Feels so good to be breathing the air, every four strokes, and knowing that a sickerette just isn't worth the risk.

I know I have choices, like just now. I could have just drunk the ice water with lime wedges that I'm sipping as I type this.  Instead, after returning from the drugstore, I smoked a sickerette while drinking a cup of coffee. An oxymoron for me, as coffee and cigs go hand in hand for me.

Thank you for the comments and messages. I appreciate each one, and feel myself growing stronger, far stronger than I was after my beloved Sam died, and I started smoking 30 cigs a day. Had a severe breakdown and couldn't work any longer. Just sat on the porch, smoked and drank coffee all day.

But I'm not there yet, where I yearn to be, tobacco free.
