I am sending this down by way of one of Old Goat's helpers.
I woke up a little while ago to the face of my old friend watching me.
The Old Goat said that several of the Sheik's men brought me in several days ago. She had them bring me deep into the Healing Cave somewhere on her mountain.
They told her they found me buried in the sand next to my camel. I was suffering from what they termed Noxious Poisoning. Old Goat says that they mean that Nic's minions poisoned me with Tar, Nicotine, Arsonic, Methane, and many more chemicals.
In her opinion, we must be taking quite a few people away from Nic's slavery to sickorettes.
I had found where they had attacked someone after leading them off the trail. I never found the unfortunate traveller before I was ambushed.
Old Goat says I will recover. She says I must remain here till she says I may leave to be sure the poisons are no longer a danger to me. When I am able to leave, I will continue leading caravans and fighting Ol' Nic wherever I find him and his minions.
I had to send this warning down though. I would ask that someone get a message to the Sheik and advise him what Nic's forces are doing deep in the desert.
Warn every traveler in NML of this new danger. I wish the travelers to be able to travel safely out there.
