The ongoing saga, it's apparently WAR!

My landlady looked over the original lease and said that it ends on June 30th and not July 31st so she send a threatening email to the insurance co telling them that if they do not agree to a six month lease, that we have to be out of here by the 30th.  That is a week from today.  She called me and told me that she wouldn’t really kick us out but she wants to light a fire under them.  THEY called me and told me that if she will not accept a three month lease, they will FIND us another apartment and they will make sure that it meets whatever our needs are.  I don’t want to be here but I really don’t want to move again either.  I did tell the insurance people that rents are ridiculously high here and that we now have two cats and it HAS to be a ground floor apartment with laundry facilities.  I think the landlady cut off her nose to spite her face, now the insurance co doesn’t care if it costs more to get us into another apartment, they do not want to deal with her.  The person from the co. said her actions are nothing short of predatory.  This afternoon the landlady called me to ask if we had signed anything with our contractor (she wanted us to hire a different one who could not get the house up until December).  I lied and told her that we had, she said that he is not licensed.  I asked her what she was talking about and she said she looked him up and he is not on some registry.  I told her the name of his company and she emailed me later to tell me that he does have a license but he is not an A rated contractor.  I don’t CARE if he is an F rated contractor, I have seen his work, I have talked to his subcontractors, AND he was recommended by the BANK.  The good news is that I seriously do not care anymore.  If we have to move, so be it.  I have no idea where we will put our furniture if the place is furnished because we have some things here that we got after the fire.  It will work out one way or another.  Thanks to everyone on here who offered support and advice.  I love you guys!
