Hi friends,

39 days without a cigarette. 38 days with nicotine. Insomnia was doing better until last night. I had about 3 hours to think from 3am - 6am and I decided that not sleeping is better than smoking for sure. My husband has been happy to find that since I quit smoking, I am a much happier gal in the morning, even when I don't get much sleep. The digestive issues are slowly changing, getting better. I am regularly taking the refridgerated probiotic viatmins and magnesium suppliments. I am exercising for 30min a day. I feel less like I ate a bag of rocks, and more like I ate some sand. Baby steps. My stamina when doing cardio workouts has increased tenfold, just because I can breathe without feeling like my lungs are going to catch on fire. All in all, good stuff to report.

I am seeing how NML can be tricky because out of the blue, I was yearning for a cigarette in a way I haven't since the first few days. Took a step back, chugged some water, and told myself, "no, I don't do that anymore!" and I was OK. I was a bit shaken at how a craving can come on so strong without warning. There were no usual triggers going on, I just had an urge that overwhelmed me. Riding that wave was scarey, but I am glad it happened. Now I know to always keep my guard up, N.O.P.E!!!!!!!!!!
