Hello eX-community. This is my mothers page and I just wanted to update all of you on her condition. She is still not smoking, I think it will be a month in a couple of days.
She told me that she let you all know that she was going for surgery. She had her surgery on the 21st and in the recovery room she had a stroke. She knew she was going to have to have physical therapy to learn to walk after being in a wheel chair for the past 4 years, but what she didn't know was that she was also going to have to learn how to eat, speak, and use her left side of her body all over again.
She wanted me to let all of you know that she is praying for your quits. And she has asked me to tell all of you she will be back on here as soon as she is able to.
I want to add that the doctors told me that if she had not quit when she did this stroke would have killed her.
I am so thankful for all of you that have suportted her.
She told me she had to make her pledge to not smoke for 24 hours, someplace on this site but I do not know where to find that at. So I will vouche for her that she has pledged not to smoke.
Praying for all of you to continue to quit and to stay quit. I will post updates as often as possible. I know that Mom thinks you folks are the best group of people to come into her life in a long time.
