600 days

Today is 600 days for me smoke free.  Had a very stressful day yesterday and was sitting out in the yard and saw my son's ashtray and actually thought about lighting up one of his butts.  BUT THEN, I said to myself, I don't smoke anymore.  Having a puff would help absolutely nothing.  I got up put on my tennies and went for a long walk and breathed in all the wonderful smells of blooming flowers, fresh cut grass and someone bbqing.

I am an addict plain and simple.  Always will be.  But I have a choice here and I choose not to smoke.  I choose to be a non smoker and life has its ups and downs, but smoking won't change or help any of it.  I really hardly ever even think about smoking which is great.

I come here every day and read the blogs and try to give encouragement.  This site is what helps keep me quit.  We all want the same thing, to be free of the addiction of smoking.  It hasn't always been easy but in all honesty, it hasn't been that bad either.

Today is a new day and I am proud to be a non smoker.  I wish all of you a wonderful smokefre day!
