First off, I would like to give thank to the ones that were involved in the arrangements of this trip. Sarah for the planning, Skygirl for the breakfast along with Kathy and her decorations and to anybody else that I might have forgotten. I am still trying to take everything in. It is overwhelming to finally meet and talk with ones that you have bonded with. We are trully a family here. We should name the trips " Ex family reunion" When the Nashville group was first started, i typed a comment...."I am going if i have to hitch hike my way there and pitch a tent in no mans land LOL"Shawn❤Quit❤03-17-2012 245 days ago. I really wasn't sure how i was going to make it but was determined to not let anything stand in my way and that was the best decision that i ever made for ME!

One of my highlights on this trip was to the Grand Ole Opry along with 6 others, Stacie, Betty, Tommy, Sudie, Kathy and Chris. I had expressed this to a special friend prior to this trip of what this meant for  me to be there. My dad passed away 26 years ago and was a country music fan especially with all the old time favorites. I  grew up listening to  their music and to be there that night was something that  my father had dreamed of. I trully miss him but he was there that night in my heart. It was there that night that Michael Ray made his debut on the Opry stage and performed in honor of his grandfather and tribute to Porter Wagoner "Green green grass of home." Also one of my favorites was Exile. They performed a song called "People Get Ready" I think this should be our Freedom Train song!

On Saturday, we all met for a Skygirl's breakfast. I wont go into details because there will be other Exer's that will be sharing but the theme was Ex 3 Superstars Nashville 2015 and on the wall of the hall that was rented was this picture.

It reads...the key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time.

THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES!!! For the ones that weren't able to attend, you were there in spirit with us! Love to all of you!

I am 51 yrs old and live in the Greater Cleveland area. I started smoking at a young age. I think it was more peer pressure at that time and just a few cigarettes a day until i became "LEGAL" to smoke. I then started smoking a pack or more a day, using stress as my excuse to smoke more. In reality, I realized after i quit smoking that there is no excuses for smoking. I am approaching 4 yrs next month, but I still have to work to protect my quit. I am here on Ex faithfully helping others and in return helps me. We call it here on Ex "Collateral Kindness" here is a link to my blog, 1 yr later that explained my trials in the the beginning of my quit. https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/blogs/ShawnP-blog/2013/03/14/one-year-later
