day four and five

Hello friends,

I must say day four SUCKED. Boy, I was really feeling bogged down by cravings and triggers everywhere I looked. It is my first weekend as a nonsmoker, so I guess that had something to do with it. I am usually alone all day with my kids, but my husband was home. He has never smoked a day in his life, but just seeing him around made me want to tell him to watch the kids while I smoke. Isn't it funny that the only thing i ever did "for me" was smoke cigarettes that will slowly kill me, not to mention the other nasty addiction and side effects that I hate? Oh my addiction really had me fooled. I now understand my choice is not one puff ever. This is how I will find something for me, that will add goodness to my life, and not kill it.

Day five is a bit easier than day four, but I am feeling like I have a long road ahead of me full of battles to remain in the right state of mind. It will ease up soon, wont it? Is this all because I am officially clean from nicotine now? Oh boy.
