One day at a time is how it is done.  There is also a Pledge group you can go to daily and join web-hands in solidarity.  Congrats on your quit!

Hello, my name is Jackie and I am at my 90 day quit.  This site is very helpful but in order to make your quit easier you really need to understand the addiction of nicotine.  There is a lot of reading to do.  There is a book called Stop Smoking the Easyway by Allen Carr.  Also another website for educational material is www.Whyquit.com  and read on Nicotine 101.  Also information on that same site.  Nicotine 101.  If you have problems find the site go to my page and the links will be there.  On thiw website if you follow the step by step guide that will also help.  Good luck on your quit.

Welcome!

The MOST important thing you can do is educate yourself about the nicotine addiction by reading, reading and more reading… Congratulations on the best decision you could possibly make for yourself and your loved ones…

We suggest a 'quit kit' composed of a list of distraction techniques and things to help you through like cinnamon sticks, crunchy things (carrots, celery, chips some hard candy, lots of water), lemons…biting into a lemon or sticking your head in the freezer and taking a deep breath gets you through.

It takes the mindset that we aren't giving up anything...we are doing it because we want to and not signing up for a lifetime of deprivation but a lifetime of freedom...that is the personal journey no one can take for us... xo
