The Right Mindset

The one thing I have learned on EX is that having the right mindset is going to make a difference when I quit.  A positive mindset will make it easier (or at least bearable), a negative one will make it difficult.   I have started saying an affirmation to myself (repeatedly) "I am a non-smoker. I no longer need or want to smoke. I have quit smoking." Everytime I say that, I feel  less stressed and more positive about quitting. I can do it. I can finally quit smoking.  After 45 years, I CAN QUIT SMOKING!

I am looking forward to 4/1/15 when I can say,"I HAVE DONE IT!  I HAVE QUIT SMOKING!"
