I know I've spent a lot of time talking about weight issues rather than smoking issues, and I apologize if it's getting on anyone's nerves. I had an awesome day, because I discovered that my company offers a weight loss program that is internet/phone based meaning that I have a coach who calls me every week for six months and is a nutritionist! They have videos, articles -- it's kind of a whyquit.com for weight control. My coach called me this evening and told me they're sending me a packet with a food diary and -- I can hardly believe it -- a FITBIT! I was going to buy one, and was waiting until I had a 30% off coupon at Kohl's! I'll be working essentially what I've been doing, but with a nutritionist at my side and accountability. It's a focus on whole foods rather than processed foods and that's exactly where I already am. I'm so happy about this!!
I told the coach that I knew I could do this in the long-term because I have so successfully quit smoking. I know I can keep a promise to myself. I know I can do the long-haul. So I feel very blessed that this came together the way it has, and I'll try not to focus so much on the weight issue.
I also want to say that I continue to love this community. I did something untentional today on this site, and got an honest private message about it. I was so happy that honesty is really, truly a part of this group. We're grownups who can say how we feel about something and be heard with no drama, no resentment. That's a wonderful thing.
I'm getting so excited about going to Nashville!! I hope I'll meet many of you there!
Love to everyone -- sweet dreams!!
