Wow - what a cool number - 222!  Didn't really think in the beginning that I would make it this far.  But with the help of this site and my new friends here, I have and I am really feeling good!  It is so very nice to see so many new, active member and also some members who have rejoined us.  I wish all of you the very best!  It is not always easy folks, but the sense of freedom that I feel lately is worth every little bit of discomfort that I have felt in the last 7+ months.

My sister (a non-smoker) came to visit this past week-end.  It was so nice to welcome her into my new apartment and not worry about my place reeking of smoke.  We had a very nice lunch - and I didn't rush through it to have my after eating smoke.  We went shopping - and I didn't have to sneak out to feed my addiction.  I could really just relax and enjoy my time with her.  Hang in there folks, I am living proof that it does get better!

I am a 63 year old single woman. I quit smoking at 55 and my only regret is that I did not quit sooner. Freedom from cigarettes is truly a wonderful feeling!
