She has been laid to rest.

It was heartbreaking being in my grandma house without my grandma bustling around the kitchen fretting because she didn't have enough food to feed everyone that was coming. She fed you regardless if you were hungry or not. She was an amazing cook. I sat at the dining room table gazing into the formal dining remembering you had truly graduated to the adulthood when at Thanksgiving you didn't have to sit at the "kids" table anymore. To have a seat in the formal dining room was about the best day of your life! I said goodbye to house whose walls have known our secrets, our good times our bad times and an immense amount of love. I said goodbye to a small town that I will never go back too, there is nothing there anymore. But most heartbreaking of all I said goodbye to "Sexy", my nickname for my grandma because she had such a breathy Marilyn Monroe voice. Now the goodbyes are said, the healing begins. My mom and I are going to brave the crowds on Friday and go shopping to honor and celebrate my grandma...oh how she LOVED to shop! There will be things that we will do throughout the coming weeks to celebrate an amazing woman who I had the honor and privilege of calling grandma. Thank you all of my EX family for being here! I love you all!!
