The Christmas snow came here to eastern pa a month early! I'm am not a fan of November snow storms! I really appreciate being an ex smoker though during times like this. I went out this afternoon and shoveled and snow blowed 4 inches of heavy wet white stuff and hardly broke a sweat. A couple of years ago, I would have been huffing and puffing and worrying about having a heart attack! Not bad for an old guy(pushing 61) like me! Then, I picked my daughter up after work and let her drive home to get some bad weather driving experience- she only has her learner's permit. Had I still been a smoker that would have been a hair raising,2 cigarette stress relief experience!I am happy to report she did fine.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here- elders and the newer folks alike and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of you. You helped me get smoke free and stay that way for nearly 700 days, and I could not have done it alone. If you are just starting or thinking about quitting believe in yourself-You can do it and you will be thankful that you did! I hope you all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
