I will write more later,but I just had an awful experience. I was out walking Maggie Mae and we were about 4 houses down when she was attacked by a pit bull. Two pit bulls came out of from no where. One had Maggie by her rear end and was shaking her body and pulling her away from me.. I was belly down in the snow trying to keep her from being carried away. Then she slipped her collar. By this time there was a line of cars stopped and a gentleman got out with a pipe.
For some reason the pitbul let go of Maggie and she ran off but was caught by another car's driver. My daughter heard me screaming and took Maggie inside. I thought I was going to pass out, but one of the stopped vehicles was an ambulance and the EMT walked me home. (we live across from a hospital) She's been to the vet and is on 3 meds. Just saw animal control who had the dogs in his van. He wants to petition the court for ownership of the dogs as they now pose a risk to the saftely of animals and people.
The hardest part was not being able to do anything.
I am going outside now but just to cry to let it all out.
