Day One - I just realized I don't want to be an "EX".

I am familiar with the meaning of the prefix and really would prefer being known as "a former." Let me explain. According to the dictionary the prefix "EX" means "has been." Now, if we examine another commonly referred word and break it down the meaning becomes something I don't want to be. That word is "expert." "EX" meaning has been and "pert" meaning lively, spirited, enegetic." I am spirited and energetic ... not a has been!

This is my first day without a pack of cigarettes on hand. Although, I cheated early on and took two drags off a butt I kept. Now, I've just finished eating and the energy level is going through the roof. So, I'm going out for a walk in hopes that diminishes the craving. I took the med this morning ... Chantix do your thing!

If we can't laugh about ourselves then we need to find another life ... consider a silent monk.

More to come since this is definately a work in progress.
