How does five years quit feel?

Honestly? Just------------------------------NORMAL.

Not smoking is normal for me. I look at smokers and smell smokers and I am sort of horrified that I was once one of them--------------------kind of like that 80’s mistake hairdo we all had….but  x 1000!!!!

I paid out approximately $16.00 per day………

I put rolled, dried leaves in a paper tube between my lips……….

I took a lighter and---while they were still IN MY MOUTH----I lit the paper and leaves on fire………….

I then INHALED the smoke into my lungs….not once but over and over.

Seriously?   This isn’t a Saturday Night Live joke?    A Monty Python skit?

I am Sootie and I have 5 years of freedom from THAT UTTER NONSENSE as of today.

YOU CAN DO THIS TOO----------------------I PROMISE.

My sincerest thanks to EVERYONE who has traveled this journey with me and provided friendship and support. It is an honor to be part of this special community.

Stay Strong.

I quit smoking in 2009 after years and years of addiction. I just became sick and tired of the whole smoking thing. This site was a lifesaver with the support I received...so as you can see, I hung around to help others. I became friends with many people....some are here now and some are gone. Welcome to anyone who is new....this is EX....we are all here for each other.
