The Aids actually Work for Me

The last blog I posted, I believe I really put emphasis on the smoking aids. But what I haven't told you all is that about a year ago, I did quit smoking with the nicotine gum. I quit for 8 months. The first 2 weeks, I used the gum a lot, but as the cravings deminished, my cravings for the gum did too. After 3 weeks, I didn't even remember to use the gum anymore. The problem I had, is that all my clients and all my friends at the time smoked. It was really hard being around these people and being the only one not smoking and I felt myself getting weeker everyday. It just took that 1 cigarrette and then I was hooked again. So this time, I'm not around clients that smoke and a lot of friends that smoke and I won't even be home. I will be around healthy people that don't smoke. And when I get back home, I will only have 1 friend that smokes, so I know not to be around her when she smokes. I have even asked her not to smoke around me, she was totally fine with that--she wants to quit too, but she won't make a commitment.

Not working today--was too much for me this week. I still have deep stitches around my inner-eye, so I'm still healing. Wednesday I was exhausted after working for one hour. I got home at 1:30, fell asleep at 2:00 and slept till 6:00. Woke up and had no idea what time it was. Went to bed early that night, and have felt great since then, but have things to do. Calls to make--the social worker still has not called me about a place to stay in San Francisco for radiation and that's coming up week after next. I just need a business day to take care of some issues.

Thank you all for your input and comments, it has all been very helpful..... You all have a great TGIF, and a good weekend.
